In a significant stride towards bolstering digital education in India, global technology giants HP and Google have forged a partnership to manufacture Chromebooks within the country. This collaboration reinforces their dedication to the ‘Make in India’ initiative, aiming to provide affordable, safe, and high-quality computing devices to students and educational institutions. The production of these Chromebooks is set to commence on October 2, 2023, at the Flex Facility near Chennai, where HP has been producing a range of laptops and desktops since August 2020.

This strategic location enables efficient production and distribution to meet the growing demand for affordable PCs in India, especially in the education sector.
