Responsibilities as a Staff /Principal Performance Engineer  : 

  • As part of our team, you will push CPUs & System IP to their Performance limits – targeting the IP’s internal architecture and how it interacts with the rest of the system. 
  • The role involves benchmarking and analysing Performance of IPs and SoCs, characterising benchmarks and workloads, helping our partners achieve the best possible performance using our technology.  
  • You will work with cross-site design teams, performance teams throughout the organisation and product marketing to push our IP to its limits.  
  • There will be opportunities to make a difference by actively contributing to performance analysis methodologies which are improved continuously to match design advancements. 
  • Mentoring and/or managing junior engineers in the team is part of the role.  

Have you worked on CPUs or other IP in a system, and have a strong technical background? Then, you are maybe the right match for this job! 

Required Skills and Experience: 

  • Bachelors or Masters in Electrical Engineering or equivalent  
  • 13 to 20 Yrs of experience! 
  • Understanding of CPU or SoC architecture and microarchitecture. 
  • Hands-on experience in Performance Analysis of complex CPUs/SoCs. 
  • Experience in leading or managing a team. 
  • Experience with C/C++/Python or other languages. 
  • HW and SW debugging skills on Silicon or Pre-Silicon. 
  • Great interpersonal and communication skills and desire to work as part of a team. 

“Nice To Have” Skills and Experience: 

  • Familiarity with hardware acceleration platforms like Emulation and FPGA. 
  • Experience with Arm or x86 Assembly. 
  • Experience in workload profiling and characterisation.
